barn wedding venue
WITH ACCOMMODATION

If you're looking for a barn wedding venue with accommodation, you're in luck! We are delighted to offer our very own exclusive, onsite accommodation nestled on the grounds of the old Bredenbury Court Manor House.

Just a stone’s throw away from the evening reception Oak Barn, The East Lodge, The Chalet and The West Lodge are all charming bed and breakfast cottages for your closest friends and family to enjoy the night of your wedding. Wake up to a continental breakfast with your nearest and dearest as you sip your morning coffee and reminisce about a truly unforgettable day.

Our accommodation story

Proud to be a wedding venue with onsite accommodation, the chalets are situated within the venue grounds of the Old Manor House and have been carefully designed and placed to blend in with the natural surroundings and incredible views.

A beautiful blend of new and restored, each chalet offers unique characteristics with the same rustic, homely feel reflected throughout the venue and its accommodation. Constructed with the rest of the venue in 2016, two of the three chalets boast wooden exterior features to reflect the beautiful nature and countryside surrounding the venue.

The West Lodge, however, is the gracefully restored gatekeeper cottage and is perfect for families or groups to stay together.

Bredenbury Courts' Ultimate Wedding Accommodation Guide

Do you need help with planning your stunning wedding venue accommodation?

Well, worry no more as we’ve put together the perfect wedding venues guide for your speical day. Wedding planning can be stressful enough without having to worry about where your guests will stay. So, we’ve answered some of the most common questions people have when planning a wedding party and booking accommodation. We hope this list helps make the process a little easier for you!

1. Getting guests to pay their way!

Ever worried about how to tell guests to pay for their wedding accommodation?

There’s nothing worse than planning your wedding day and having to tell people to put their hands in their pockets… but believe us, it’s a lot more common than you think! So try not to worry!

The best way to do this is to include a note in your wedding invitations that says something like “We have arranged for special rates at a nearby hotel. Please contact the hotel directly to book your room.”

You can also include information about other accommodation options in the area, such as AirBnBs or camping sites. Don’t worry, we’ve done all the hard work for you and made a list of all the best areas to stay near to our beautiful wedding venue! That is once you’ve filled up all of the beautiful on-site wedding accomodation at our exclusive wedding venue of course! Check them out below:

2. Keep both families happy at the wedding!

The best way to keep families happy is to keep them close while planning wedding accommodation!

If you’re looking to keep families happy… keep them close together. Families want to be able to support each other during what can be a hectic time. The last thing you want is for families to feel like they’re being scattered all over the place and feel excluded.

We suggest designating one area for each family and then letting them choose their own accommodation within that area. This way, everyone is happy and no one feels like they’re being put out. This way, everyone will have their own bedroom and bathroom, but you’ll all be able to spend time together in the common areas like our luxury dining room.

3. Make sure wherever you choose has some great local accommodation options!

Here are a couple of our favourite hotel secrets:

Firstly, one thing to keep in mind is that some hotels may require a minimum number of nights stay, especially if you’re booking a lodge or country house so be sure to check with the hotel before booking your rooms. The last thing you want is to spend more money than you need to by committing to the entire weekend!

Our next hotel secret is if you have guests coming from out of town, be sure to give them plenty of notice so they can make travel arrangements. There’s nothing worse than trying to plan a trip at the last minute. (It’s often way more expensive too!)

Finally, don’t forget to book your own room! Wedding days can be long and exhausting, so you’ll want a comfortable place to relax at the end of the night. You won’t believe how often newlyweds worry about families and forget to book their own rooms! We recommend the East Lodge, it’s our most popular room and it’s right near the reception area so you won’t have to go far after a long night of celebrating!

4. Give yourself plenty of time to plan your wedding accommodation

Wondering how much time is needed to plan your wedding?

Planning a wedding can be a full-time job, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get everything done. We recommend starting to look for venues at least a year in advance, especially if you’re looking for a specific date or season.

Start by making a list of all the things you need to do and then break them down into smaller tasks that you can complete each week. This will help you stay organised and on track while planning your wedding reception. Trying to do everything at the last minute will only make things more stressful!

5. Calculating a wedding accommodation budget

Wondering how to calculate your wedding budget?

The first step is to make a list of all the things you need for your wedding. This includes everything from the venue and catering to the flowers and decorations. Once you have a list of all the things you need, you can start to research how much each item will cost.

You can also start to compare prices between different vendors to get the best deal on your Wedding day. Once you have an idea of how much everything will cost, you can start to create a budget. Remember to also factor in things like waiter tips when creating your budget. And lastly, don’t forget to leave some room in your budget for unexpected expenses!

6. Keeping wedding guests entertained during their stay

One of the most common questions we get asked is how to keep wedding guests entertained?

There are a few things you can do to make sure your guests are entertained during your wedding reception. One thing you can do is to hire a band or DJ to play some music during the reception. You can also set up a photo booth for guests to take pictures in.

Another idea is to have some fun games set up for guests to play. A popular game to play is Wedding Bingo, where guests try to predict the events of the wedding day. You can also have a dance floor set up for guests to enjoy. And lastly, make sure you have plenty of food and drinks available for your guests!

Don't forget the drinks reception

If guests have accommodation sorted, it's because they plan to drink!

Weddings can be as expensive as you want them to be. Alcohol, without a doubt, plays a key part in inflating the cost of your special day. Our final tip for planning your wedding night is to look for wedding packages that include a drinks reception or even a no corkage venue (like ours!) which lets the newly weds bring their own alcohol!

This will help you save money on your wedding day and it’s a great way to keep guests entertained during the day. Often packages include everything from a wedding breakfast to the evening’s entertainment.
