Your Love Story
…How did you meet?
We met on Tinder of all places! As soon as we matched, we spoke every single day and even FaceTimed all night when Gav went on a lads holiday to Prague 😂 We went for our first date on the 30th March and have spent every day together since, Gav genuinely moved in with me the first day we met! Lots of people thought we were crazy, but when you know you know!
The proposal
Expected or surprise!
Bit of both.. we went to Pembroke for a long weekend and Gav was desperate to go back again the following weekend… he said he suddenly realised how perfect it would be to propose at the beach. He decided when we were walking along the beach with our spaniel Buster and the sunset looked amazing, but the reality for the following weekend was the tide all the way in so we couldn’t walk along the beach and windy weather – it was still perfect!
Choosing THE dress …
I selected loads, but the first one I tried one I knew was the one.. I kept comparing every other dress to that one and wanted to keep putting it back on! I always imagined wearing a puffy dress but when I tried on my fitted dress with long sleeves it was perfect!
Why did you choose Bredenbury Court Barns?
Bredenbury was the first venue we looked around the only venue we looked around! We knew we didn’t need to look anywhere else! Everything about the venue is perfect – the layout, the finishing touches, the staff, the grounds, everything is amazing!
Tell us all the details!
We kept our ceremony as simple as possible, mostly because we were so nervous, but I walked down the aisle to “Can you feel the love tonight” played on a piano from my favourite film the Lion King! I made all the name places and menu cards and our favours were key bottle openers for the men and candle Centre pieces for women, we kept one of each in our memory box! We had a table and chairs on a smaller scale made for our loved ones who couldn’t be there and we personalised glow sticks for a huge party in the evening!
What was on the menu?
We had options for everyone! We did the host a roast and it was the best idea ever.. everyone had such a good time doing it!
First Dance Song?
Take on the world by You Me At Six. This was the best and everyone was up dancing by the end of the song!
Your favourite moment of the day?
Getting sunset photos and walking back up the aisle as husband and wife, it’s just the best feeling!
A word of advice for future couples?
Relax, enjoy, BREATHE! Take yourself into a corner for a couple of uninterrupted minutes with your husband/wife and just soak it all in, watch all your friends and family having loads of fun together celebrating you!
