Your vows, in your own words.
A venue built for ceremonies that don't follow a script. Outdoor gazebo, licensed indoor spaces, and a team who'll work hand-in-hand with your celebrant to make every word count.

Why a Humanist Ceremony Here
Personal, not prescribed.
Humanist ceremonies are about you, your story, your people. A venue with character helps. So does a team that understands celebrants work differently to registrars, and gives them the time and space they need.
Your Words, Your Story
No required readings, no fixed structure. Your celebrant builds the ceremony around the two of you.
Outdoor or Indoor
West Lawn Gazebo for ceremonies under the sky, The Atrium and Orangery for a guaranteed indoor backup.
Any Time of Day
Humanist ceremonies aren't bound by registrar hours. Sunrise vows, sunset rituals, midnight, all possible.
Family Involvement
Handfasting, sand blending, wine ceremonies, readings from your friends, kids playing roles. Build it in.
Rituals We've Hosted
Meaningful moments, made to last.
Handfasting Ceremonies
Celtic ribbon binding, often outdoors at the gazebo
Readings & Vows
From friends, family, or written together. No limits on choice
Live Music & Singing
Acoustic acts, choirs, processionals tailored to you
Family Rituals
Sand or wine ceremonies, candle lighting, blended-family symbols
A Typical Flow
How a humanist day usually runs.
Late Morning
Quiet Preparation
Get ready in the suites with your people. Your celebrant arrives early for a final walk-through with you both.
Early Afternoon
The Ceremony
Outdoor at the gazebo, or in The Atrium. Personal vows, readings from those you love, any rituals you've chosen. Usually 30 to 45 minutes.
Through to Evening
Reception & Dancing
Drinks in the courtyard, dinner in The Oak Barn, dancing late. No curfew when you stay over.

Working With Celebrants
We work around them.
Humanist celebrants do things differently to registrars. They meet with you for hours beforehand, write the ceremony with you, and often need a quiet space to prepare on the day. We make that easy.
We have recommended celebrants who know the venue well, including Humanists UK accredited and independent celebrants. Bring your own if you prefer. We'll make sure they have what they need.
Important to know: a humanist ceremony in England and Wales isn't yet legally binding on its own. Most couples have a short registrar signing first (we can host that here too) then the proper humanist ceremony as the heart of the day.
