Can we get married on Christmas Day?

Registry offices typically don't operate on Christmas Day itself, but we host weddings right through the festive season including December 23rd, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve.

Is there an off-peak Christmas discount?

Most December dates outside the immediate run-up to Christmas sit in our off-peak pricing, with the full exclusive use experience and festive dressing included.

Do you decorate the venue for Christmas?

Yes, fully. A real 12 foot tree in The Atrium, garlands, wreaths and candles throughout. You can add personal styling on top of our base festive dressing.

We're set up for it. The drive is gritted, the lodges are properly heated, the fires are lit and most guests stay on site anyway.

Can we have a New Year's Eve wedding?

Yes. We do a small number of NYE weddings each year. Late license, fireworks optional, midnight build-up included.

Is the venue warm enough in December?

Yes. Underfloor heating in The Atrium, real fire in The Den, heated lodges. Guests are usually layering down by dinner, not up.

Christmas weddings, done properly.

A Christmas wedding only works if the venue commits to it. We dress the spaces in real garlands and a proper tree, keep the fires going from arrival to midnight, and lean fully into the season without it tipping into kitsch.

Daylight is short in December, so ceremonies run earlier. The Orangery glows with candles and twinkling lights, garlands around the windows.

Late Afternoon

Mulled Wine by the Fire

Move through to The Den for mulled wine and warm canapes around the log fire, with hot chocolate poured as the light goes.

Evening

Festive Dinner & Late Party

Long dinner in The Atrium under the tree and candles, then dancing in The Den. Walk home to the lodges in the cold when you're done.

Festive Menus

Christmas food, the good kind.

Christmas menus are properly festive without being a turkey dinner. Slow-cooked beef, glazed ham, goose options, sticky toffee pudding, Christmas pudding with brandy butter. Our in-house team builds the menu around the season, not against it.

Late-night food is where Christmas weddings shine. Pigs in blankets at 10pm, hot chocolate by the fire, bacon butties as people head to the lodges. The small things people remember.
